Pam Powell has declared her candidacy for State House Of Representative in Florida's 41st District, for 2022. Pam Powell is a proud Central Florida native, she has been a resident of the district she wishes to serve for decades. She has always been very passionate about the needs of her community. She was raised by her parents to be a leader and role model with a genuine commitment of helping others to succeed in spite of their struggles with a strong desire for progression in her community.  As a two-time breast cancer survivor, she also advocates for women's healthcare awareness.

Pam is acutely sensitive to the issues which adversely affect our community, which include, but are not limited to: voter suppression, the overall declining economic climate of our communities; the need for an increase in the minimum wage and small business opportunities; more affordable housing (particularly affecting our district); quality of education, protection of our Seniors, better healthcare and protecting citizens from gun violence, just to name a few. Her campaign for the State House is to make a positive difference in her community and to work with other policymakers in a bipartisan way to safeguard the prosperity and liberties of the constituents of the 41st District. She is pledged to "Working, for the People". It is her intention to broadly communicate her campaign ideas and agenda throughout the District. She will be a tireless advocate for the people she represents and will strive to remain  POSITIVE, PASSIONATE, PERSISTENT, PATIENT, PRAYERFUL, working to help her community to become POWERFUL and  PROSPEROUS, so that they can experience "the Thrill of victory, Rather than the Agony of defeat".


She has served as a mentor and role model throughout the U.S and abroad and has been involved in philanthropic endeavors since childhood. She has served as a leader in the faith-based community for over 25 years and has over 35 years of management experience, working in both the corporate and private sectors, where she also ran a successful financial services firm for over 20 years. Working in politics since her early 20's, she was instrumental in the election of Orlando's first African American State Representative, Dr. Alzo Reddick, and she worked diligently on other campaigns including Senator Bob Graham,  Rep. Dick Batchelor, Rep. Geraldine Thompson, Orange County Tax Collector Scott Randolph, President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Congresswoman Val Demings and Ruth's List Florida. She served as a member of the NAACP of Orange County, National Congress of Black Women, Mayor Buddy Dyer's Council of Clergy, Alpha Phi Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, AACCC, and is an ambassador and spokesperson for the American Cancer Society MSABC Walk annually. She has also served in numerous organizations including the Democratic Executive Committee, Commission on the Status of Women in Orange County, President of the Valencia College Black Advisory Board, and has been named as one of the outstanding alumni of Jones High School and is featured in their historical museum and was named a Woman of Essence by Essence Magazine. She has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement awards for community service from President Barack Obama and the legendary entertainment mogul Maurice Starr. She served as minister of the day at both the Florida House of Representatives and the Orlando City Council. She has served in campaigns for both Presidents Bill Clinton & Barack Obama. Known for her passionate voice, purple attire, and her hats, she is a fighter for the people.

Many of you know me as a neighbor, community servant, minister, and entrepreneur, having been privileged to serve the Orlando Community for over four decades. Be it also known, that I am fully committed to ensuring that your interests (the esteemed constituency of District 41) will be served and that your voices will not only be heard but that you will also be vehemently represented and respected.  My sincere and very earnest commitment is to work diligently towards the ends of empowering, prospering, and bettering our greatly diverse and strategically situated community.”
